As the northernmost city in Sweden, situated in the province of Lapland, Kiruna offers a variety of activities for outdoor fans. Beyond Kiruna you find the rural countryside of Lapland where you can enjoy activities such as hiking and fishing in summer or dog-sledding, snowmobiling and snowshoeing during winter. It is seen as one of the most varied wildlife-watching destinations in Europe, offering close encounters with whales all year round.
